KTARO E-commerce Website

Overview
From 2019 to 2021, I worked on the KTARO e-commerce platform, a B2C fashion website. My goal was to design an online shopping experience that was clean, modern, and easy to navigate, while also supporting marketing needs.

Challenge
How can we create an e-commerce website that balances aesthetics and usability, while helping customers find and purchase products quickly?
My Role
- UI/UX design for web pages (home, product listing, product detail, checkout)
- Worked closely with management to align design with business needs
- Collaborated with engineers to make sure layouts were practical to build
- Designed visual elements and layouts in Figma, delivered front-end assets in HTML/CSS

Approach
- Requirement Gathering – Met with management to define content needs, promotions, and user flows.
- Wireframes & Layouts – Sketched key pages, focusing on product discovery and checkout flow.
- UI Design – Designed banners, menus, and product cards with consistency in typography and branding.
- Collaboration – Worked with engineers to ensure responsive design and smooth front-end integration.

Solution
- A modern homepage with clear product categories and promotions.
- Consistent product cards and grid system for browsing.
- A simplified checkout flow that reduced drop-offs.

Impact
The site went live and helped KTARO increase visibility and reach more customers. Internal feedback highlighted that the new design felt more modern and easier to shop compared to the old version.

What I Learned
This was my first large-scale B2C project, and it taught me how to balance business goals with user experience, and how to collaborate across design, management, and development teams.
