Enhancers Automotive Navigation Device

Overview
During my master’s study in Milan, I collaborated with Enhancers, an Italian design agency, on a project for an automotive navigation concept. The aim was to create a system that could give drivers and passengers a smarter, multimodal navigation experience.

Challenge
How can we design a navigation system that combines visual clarity, voice guidance, and passenger interaction into one seamless HMI experience?
My Role
I worked as part of a 5-person team. My focus was on UI/UX flows, interaction design, and interface visuals, while also supporting spatial interaction concepts.

Approach
- Conducted research on existing in-car navigation systems.
- Mapped different user scenarios for both drivers and passengers.
- Designed wireframes in Figma to test multimodal flows (touch, voice, and gesture).
- Created interface visuals and prototypes that showed how the system could adapt to context.

Solution
- A multi-screen navigation system with synchronized driver and passenger views.
- Voice and gesture support for safer interactions.
- Clear and minimal visuals to reduce distraction.

What I Learned
This project gave me early experience in working with a professional design agency. I learned how to explore future-focused concepts while keeping designs usable and realistic for the automotive context.
